Back in the running saddle today… our training schedule suggested a 30-40 minute run today, but I did skip Sunday’s run– instead I did some manual landscaping labor up our cabin.
I set out today without an exact route in mind, and as I went decided to do the 5+ mile loop up to the canal and back down Granite Reef Road, maybe a bit further than the training but oh well. We had one of those odd Arizona outbreaks of weather last night, with a lot of rain, so there was lots of water all along the route… and the weird things like getting sprayed by sprinklers at the park knocked of kilter by wind/rain (and sprinking soaked ground). The canal was very muddy and slippery, so the legs got some extra work lifting mud encrusted shoes.
But a good finish and ready for the work day.
Thanks also for the flood of recent sponsors who have stepped up! I’m almost halfway to my goal.

Good for you, Alan! It’s great to have a fitness goal and also to make a significant contribution to others. Cool combination. Good luck!
Aw Alan,
this is such a sweaty blog you have. I hate running too, most of the time, and I feel like a real good girl whrn I sometimes DO run – coming home all refreshed and stinking such authentic streams of transpiration that my husband’s sweet little nose starts vibrating! OOO 101
